Just before seeing one of your comments on another post, I was reading about this cool product that's being used by a lot of athletes here in the states. It's called pH Balance. You can check out their site at http://www.phsciences.com.
Hoping better and better...

At the end of one tax year the IRS sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue.
While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said, "I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?
"Good question," noted the Rabbi. "We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles."
"Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer.
But on he went, in his obnoxious way.
"What about all these matzo purchases? What do you do with the crumbs?" "Ah, yes," replied the Rabbi, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question.
"We collect them and send them back to the manufacturers, and every now and then they send a free box of matzo balls ."
"I see," replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all Rabbi. "Well, Rabbi," he went on, "what do you do with all the leftover foreskins from the circumcisions you perform?"
"Here, too, we do not waste," answered the Rabbi. "What we do is save up all the foreskins and send them to our IRS Regional Office, and about once a year they send us a complete **** to inspect our records."
Hope the X-ray had some good results...
Have a kick-ass time catching up with your ole pal, Dean.
I plan to enjoy mine doing a little of the same, dinner here with some friends, plus a nice Saturday morning run in the park with poochy and if I can twist his arm, a bit of heated badminton with the hub on Sunday--winds permitting.

ive noticed a difference
As you may/ may not be aware, I am currently designing bootcamps for performance coaching. Something that I am incredibly excited and motivated about. As part of it, I recently started looking into setting up a website and saw the first draft of my front page yesterday which was really exciting!! I have some parts that need tweaking and some that I'll develop over time, but all in all I'm juiced!! (when up and running it will be www.warriorcoaching.co.uk). I will use this site to house some of my articles which I have committed to writing more of and distributing, and also I am planning to launch a newsletter in the coming months to keep fellow warriors uptodate and fully motivated.
As for my training. I am still nursing my ankle back to speed, though the signs are very promising!! This weekend I shall be pushing the boundaries with a 2 day trip to the Brecon Beacons in Wales to cover as much ground as physically possible and just have a great time. Can't wait!!!
Just wanted to say thankyou very much for making that thread "You are the one you have been waiting for!" It's a REAL inspriation to me. And I guess that's what I really needed. The, I can do anything attitude, i've always wondered how people get it. How do I start? Do I just do everything that I want to do? Like if I wanted to exercise i'll go and do it, if I wanted to read a book, do I do it, insted of putting things off?
I am sure you will beat me to 160 if you are already at 170, I am still at about 179. The weight has not been coming off like it used to. I am changing up my diet a bit and I will be more consistent in working out now that the holidays are over and the family is no longer around. I too was sick over the holidays and I was told by the Dr. yesterday that I needed to lay off the training for a little bit to let my body heal.
I am not really concerned about the weight coming off slower, I just need to keep it coming off, which I will do without a doubt. My body is changing constantly so I know I am still losing fat and gaining muscle.... which is the important part. I am afraid if I try to push the weight off too fast at this point it will hurt me more than help me.
Onward! Keep up the good work! See you at the track! :)
Watch out after the first of the year though, that is when I will turn up the heat.... although it may be too late to catch you since you are probably well on your way. :)
Have a great Christmas and New Year!
Keep up your great work and great encouragement!
Thanks!
Enjoy the season in all it's frosty fresh glory. Hope you'll be spending it with your favorite folks.
mwwwaaaaaaaaa!

Always a pleasure.

I would be delighted for you to help me :) I know it's late, but I have just got back home from a Friday night out, and I think I'm gonna go do some cardio on my elliptical right now. And I'm proud to say not a drop of alcohol touched my lips tonight :)
One question though, is 1lbs/week lost a good slow steady rate at which my set point can catch up at the same time and set itself to my new adjusted weight? I'm taking things quite slow now.
Another question, will this set point stay if I just keep watching what I'm eating and exercising? or will the set point increase to the I dunno.. original set point?
Sorry about your ankle. I can feel your pain - well almost, my pain is just in a different spot. I truly know what you are going through from a frustration point of not being able to run. I have been dealing with this injury for over two months. This last bit I have been not running, or even going for walks for the past three weeks - Dr's orders - just been using the stationary bike which is nowhere near as fun as running. Well, I am going to the Dr for the follow up and am hoping he is going to give me the go-ahead to start running again.
Well, anyway - thanks for all your input on the forums, you are a great asset to have around. Hopefully that ankle will finish healing quickly!
I gave up doing the clean and jerk for weight. It seems like this exercise really shines because of its range of motion, and to minimize your volume seems like you're selling it short. So yeah, I suppose I took your advice. I still do CJ about biweekly, just for sets of 8 @ 135 with the full squat in to really destroy myself towards the end of the workout.
If I want to max out and feel good about myself, there is always deadlift and squat.
Just a pop-by to say how much I liked your post regarding BEING FIT, rather than just looking it. Your passion for performance is inspiring, and I'm sure you have many a satisfied client over there.
Good vibes from France,
Minu
Keep up the intensity
Is this okay? I don't think it's significantly low, I feel a bit weak but that could also be due to the fact that I'm lifting heavy boxes at work now (moving offices), it's a struggle to tell myself no don't eat more but I'm managing and proud of myself. Is this okay though?
thanks in advance.
